Senior Project Manager/Estimator (Fireproofing)

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager/Estimator to be responsible for the estimating, sale and project management of spray-applied fireproofing and insulation projects, the Project Manager/Estimator communicates with General Contractors and end users to provide value and service for new ground-up, renovation and remodel projects consisting of the smallest patching projects to large interior buildouts to major steel framed structuresThis is a great opportunity for candidates skilled in construction estimating and salesThe position is full time with an excellent benefit package including health insurance, 401k plan, paid time off and paid holidaysSalary commensurate with experience and performance base bonuses.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing accurate estimates and proposals with quantity takeoffs, material pricing and labor costs from Structural and Architectural plans and specificationsReview contracts and schedules and negotiate revisions.
Define & quantify scope of work.
Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site inspections as appropriate.
Provide design and budget assistance to customers.
Build rapport with customers by maintaining a high level of visibility, efficiently and effectively responding to customer needs.
Maintain involvement by uncovering sales opportunities with prospective and existing customers.
Collaborate with and review work of other Project Managers/EstimatorsUse established business processes and software to achieve and track progress and results.
Qualifications:
5-10 years experience in fireproofing, insulation and/or coatings project cost estimatingExcellent communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects at once.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft OfficeHave and maintain a reliable form of transportation.
Present self professionally in attitude and attireValued but not required:
BS degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with cost estimating/takeoff tools.
