Provides job support, training, and consultation for individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities working in the community.
Position Responsibilities of a Job Coach:
Performs task analysis on each new job at a community work site and orients the individual to the new work site.
Assists the employer in training the individual on each aspect of the job and all skills necessary to perform the jobCreates and implements job accommodations with the employer if necessary.
Promotes natural supports.
Provides one-on-one support on the job or creates a fade out plan to lead to independence.
Individual case management to include case notes, job coaching reports, and other employment related documentation.
Works with Employment Specialists to implement each individual's Individual Placement Plan.
Maintains regular contact with individual and employer on-site and off-site.
Provide support to individuals in making healthy lifestyle choices, which will positively affect the individual's work life.
In consultation with the Community Employment team, identify and assist the individual in facing and devising strategies to overcome barriers to employment.
Researches and provides information about public transportation or ride share options, provides training, as necessary.

Required Education & Experience of a Job Coach:
HS Diploma or GED equivalent requiredAdditional Licensing/Certifications:
Current driver's license (Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin) and acceptable driving recordRequired Skills, Knowledge & Abilities of a Job Coach:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with employers to support the individual's success.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Ability to be flexible and work days, evenings, and weekends.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in the workplace.
1 - 2 years of related experienceKnowledge of job coaching methodsCompensation details:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
